Unfair €15 Late Fee Due to Missing Dutch Language Support in the Simyo App

I would like to raise a complaint regarding an issue I recently experienced with Simyo. The app has never provided a Dutch language option for me, and since I have recently been outside the Netherlands, this made it difficult to properly manage my account and understand notifications. As a result, I unintentionally missed a bill and was charged a €15 late fee.

I find this difficult to accept. If users cannot fully access information in their preferred language, especially regarding billing and payment reminders, situations like this become much more likely. I believe this penalty is unfair under the circumstances.

I kindly ask Simyo to review my case and consider waiving the €15 fee. I also hope Simyo can improve language support in the app to prevent similar situations for other users.

Currently, the Mijn Simyo app is only available in Dutch, and I realize this can cause challenges for non-Dutch speakers. For English information, you can use the Simyo website, which does offer an English language option: https://www.simyo.nl. However, I see how this situation led to an unintentional missed payment.

It is, of course, intended that you pay the invoices on time. Otherwise, you will fall behind on payments and administrative costs will be added. If you do not understand something, you can always use Google Translate or another site to translate it. You can also contact us in good time so that we can help with anything that is unclear.

Although the administrative fees are justified, I would still like to take a look into this with you. Would you please send me a private message with your phone number and personal details? I would then be happy to see if we can be of assistance.
