Why can't i transfer the eSIM to my new device?

I have a new phone and I want to transfer my Simyo eSim to it. I tried to do the iDEAL verification twice, but I don't seem to be able to install the eSim on the new device. Please help me figure out what I might be missing, thanks!

Can you delete the eSIM from the old device? After this it should be possible to download the eSIM on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Hi Amy, I purchased the phone in The Netherlands. On the new phone, I used the “eSIM opnieuw instellen” link in the Mijn Simyo app and paid the €0.01 iDEAL payment for verification. I received an email that said I could download the eSIM via the app. I tried the “Activeer je nieuwe simkaart” link in the app and got the error “Actie mislukt. Geen zorgen! Problem het later nog een keer.” I just tried again and I still get the same error.

Hello ​@mersey,

Thank you for your response. Could you delete the Mijn Simyo app and download it again? You can then try again to download the eSIM.

If this still doesn't work please let me know. I will send this to our technical department then!

Hi ​@Amy, I tried the same steps after I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Unfortunately I still see the same error.

Hi ​@Amy, I want to give you some additional context, just in case this makes a difference.

  • My Simyo eSIM is currently being used in a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra that I purchased from the Samsung website and brought to The Netherlands with me from the United States. This has been working fine since I moved to The Netherlands earlier this year.
  • I am trying to install the eSIM in a new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 that I purchased from Odido in The Netherlands. This is the phone on which I see the error.
  • Odido requested to port the phone number, but this will not be completed until later this month. I want to move the eSIM to the new phone so I can use the new phone while I wait for the number to port.
