Out of bundle costs

Good day,

I am a student doing my masters and last month I was completely unaware of my data bundle reaching its plan maximum. And today when I checked the costs of the month it shows me EUR 190. Being a masters student in university, my monthly expenses are very tight (particularly with rent) and at the moment I cannot afford to pay EUR190. I apologize as I know it was my fault as well for not being aware of the out of bundle rates. I politely request you for a reduction on the amount to be paid. I would be very grateful as I do not have the financial ability to pay EUR190 for the month's charges at the moment. It would be great if you can make an accommodation for my situation. I look forward to your response

Thank you for your message. I'm sorry to hear that you incurred charges outside your bundle due to data usage.

We always send warning messages at 80% and 100% usage of your data bundle through text. These text messages come directly from the network and are always leading. In the last text message we also clearly indicate what the tariff is from that moment on (€0.15 per MB) and that it is wise to turn off the internet or to buy an internet bundle. From Simyo, we do our best to warn our customers in time. If you have incurred high costs outside your bundle within a short period of time, we block your SIM card as a precaution and send an e-mail about this. We try to block the SIM card from €100, but as consumption is processed with a delay in our system, the charges can exceed €100 depending on how many MBs have been consumed.

We've recently introduced the option to enable a data cap for €0.50 cents per month. I recommend enabling the data cap to prevent this from happening again. We have also created a topic on the forum with detailed information about the data cap.

I understand that you did not make the costs consciously. Can you send me a private message with your 06 number and personal details? I'll be happy to see what we can do for you to resolve this together.

Ik ben een masterstudent en vorige maand was ik me er totaal niet van bewust dat mijn databundel het maximum had bereikt. En vandaag, toen ik de maandelijkse kosten controleerde, zag ik dat het € 190 was. Als masterstudent aan de universiteit zijn mijn maandelijkse uitgaven erg krap (vooral de huur) en op dit moment kan ik het me niet veroorloven om € 190 te betalen. Mijn excuses, want ik weet dat het ook mijn schuld was dat ik niet op de hoogte was van de tarieven buiten mijn bundel. Ik verzoek u vriendelijk om een ​​korting op het te betalen bedrag. Ik zou u zeer dankbaar zijn, aangezien ik momenteel financieel niet in staat ben om € 190 aan maandelijkse kosten te betalen. Het zou geweldig zijn als u een aanpassing voor mijn situatie kunt maken. Do turn on a fixed data ceiling, which costs €0.50 per month, will start on the 1st of the coming month and will prevent a repeat of the out-of-bundle costs.

Wacht even op de reactie van een moderator, zij is na het weekend weer beschikbaar.
Schakel een vast dataplafond in, dat € 0,50 per maand kost en ingaat op de 1e van de volgende maand. Zo voorkom je dat je opnieuw buiten de bundel betaalt.
