Cannot receive SMS abroad with my Simyo number

Hi everyone,

I have a Dutch Simyo number and I am currently in the USA. WhatsApp (which has my Dutch number) asked me to verify my account, but the verification code is being sent by SMS to my Dutch number, and I am not receiving any messages as I’m outside of the Netherlands.

I saw that the USA bundle needs to be activated via SMS, normally before travelling from the Netherlands. Since I am already in the US and cannot receive SMS, I am not sure what my options are.

Is it still possible to activate roaming/USA bundle while abroad? Or is there anything I need to change in my Simyo settings to receive SMS in the US?

Go to a place in USA where you have WIFI since without WIFI you have no connection yet.

Now turn roaming on.

Turn Calling in and to other countries on.

Now you should be able to turn the bundle on too.
