Swap eSIM to new phone

I am in the UK and I have a new phone but the MySimyo App isn’t allowing me to upload the eSIM to the new phone (old and new phones are both Samsung).

Thanks for your message. I'm sorry to hear you weren't successful with installing the eSIM. I'd be happy to help you as best I can. 

Can you tell me what problems you are having installing the eSim via Mijn Simyo? You can install an eSIM through the Mijn Simyo app by following the three-step installation process: verification, installation, and activation. Existing customers must first verify their account via iDeal or a code from customer service.

Make sure your device supports eSIM and you have a stable internet connection. Then follow the instructions in the app to download and activate the eSIM.

I have tried using the App and it asks me to try another network, even though I haven’t changed network.  I have just moved from a Samsung Fold 5 to a Fold 7!

Hi ​@nsheppard,

Could you try uninstalling the Mijn Simyo app and reinstalling it on your new phone? Also make sure you are using a stable Wi-Fi connection while installing the eSIM. After that, you can follow these steps:

 

      1. Open the My Simyo app

  1. Go to Instellingen
  1. Choose Simkaart
  1. Select eSIM instellen
  1. Follow the steps in the app. Wait until the installation is completed.

After completing these steps, the issue should be resolved. If not, let me know.
