My SIM card is out of range

Hello.
Today I received my Simyo SIM card. I already activated it, but it does not find any range when I put it into my mobilephone (it is out of range). I did not do the number portability, because I wanted a new one. So, I do not understand why I cannot use it yet. I cannot call or receiving calls, send or to be sent SMSs or surf in the internet... 
Could anyone help me?

Your data shows that youre simcard has already made contact with the internet. Is it safe for me to assume youre problem has been solved by itself?
If not, please let me know what your current status is, and I will try to help you.
