Hi Simyo, I landed in Turkey and incurred 60.50€ in charges landing within Turkey in just 5 minutes. These charges were incurred before I even realised and the messages were sent to me, when I disabled flight mode. I immediately turned off my data roaming upon receiving the warning messages but €48.40 was already charged for just using 12MB for data unintentionally. The first warning message was sent to me when I incurred €48.40 on messages, but when I turned off my data, another warning message stated that I had already incurred €60.50 worth of charges. There was no message of the rates in Turkey like the messages I would usually receive when I crossed borders I spoke to a customer service agent and they were not really helpful and quite passive aggressive, sometimes sarcastic to my situation, saying “Too bad I didn’t receive the border message this time but it was sent.” What? She agreed to reimburse €12.74 out of €60.50, that is not nearly satisfactory for a cost that I did not intentionally incur and had not received warning messages about.
Is there any further help I can get? 5€/MB is not the normal rate and the help I got so far was truly disappointing.
