Hi Team,

I ported my number to Simyo on 5th Nov.

When someone from India send a text message on my NL number then I do not receive them on my mobile. Today at 9 AM a text message was sent from India number but I did not receive it.

I do receive SMS from NL numbers and I have no issues receiving or making calls to India numbers.

Please let me know if you need additional details (phone number, mobile model etc).

Regards,

Tejkumar
In my experience international text messages often take longer to be delivered than those sent from the same country. Just give it another couple of hours and keep fingers crossed that it will arrive...

By the way make sure that the sender uses the correct international prefix, in this case 0031 for the Netherlands, followed by the complete number minus the first zero.
Hi Scotsman,

Thank you for yor respose.

Yes the number was correct with 0031 prefix and without leading zero. Below is summary from online bill of the SMS sender.

Hi Team

I did not receive the SMS sent out from India. This can be a big problem for me as my NL number is registered for Mobile banking in India and I expect to receive multiple messages related to be Bank account activities.

Can you please investigate this issues ASAP.
I wish you luck with this. I am very familiar with this problem.

I have a Dutch bank account and for a transaction to be completed they send me a text message containing an authorisation code to my UK mobile number. This is an automated process and over the past few years that I used this service I've found it to be utterly unreliable. For several months the text messages simply don't arrive, but suddenly I do receive them. And then it stops again. I've contacted the bank several times but there is nothing they can do. Same story when I spoke to my mobile telephone operator here in the UK.

When I notify my bank that the text message was not received, I can request a voice call to my UK mobile and that always works. Really stupid as that's a lot more expensive for them than sending a text. Does your bank in India not offer a similar call-back service?

Dear Tejkumar,

I'm sorry that you are experiencing problems with receiving text messages from India. I see that our customer service advised you to put your simcard in another phone and test whether this might be the solution. Did you already try this?

Otherwise, is there such a solution possible as Scotsman describes? :)

Thanks Scotsman!
Hi Kim

I tiried with different handset but still the same problem.

When I was on my first Lyca provider, I never had this problem.

Unfortunately I do not have option of voice call for bank transactions.

Moreover I expect some other text messages other than bank transactions.. hence this is really a problem for me

Can you please investigate with your technical team?

Dear Tejkumar,

I contacted the KPN Networkspecialists. Unfortunately, they do not have information on incoming text messages.

But there might be a problem in the routing process from the Indian provider to our network.

Is it possible for you to find out which provider(s) the numbers use that try to contact you from India? I would recommend you to contact them to check if they route the messages to our network.
